Bridges and Powerlines – ‘Eve’

Bridges and Powerlines – ‘Eve’

Describing themselves as “nerdy Brooklyn pop”, Bridges and Powerlines shine in all of their nerdy glory on their latest release, Eve.

Originally hitting shelves in the States in February 2011, Eve is the follow-up to their 2008 release, Ghost Types. Still maintaining the quirky, upbeat tracks that have gained them a strong following in their native New York, the band seems to have found a cohesiveness that has allowed them to the next step towards a breakthrough to more mainstream audiences. From start to finish, Eve is every hipster kid’s perfect dance party album.

While there aren’t many missteps, “Balcony”, “I Remember a Blue Sky” and “Mirabell” are true standouts and are likely to find their way onto one of your favorite iPod playlists.

You can support them by downloading their album on iTunes.
